Creating audio files for use with Tropo

Justin Dupree -

The Tropo platform supports a number of different audio formats, but the telephone network is fairly limited in what audio can be transmitted. Tropo will accept a wide variety of sound formats and automatically convert them to something the telephone network can handle.

For optimum quality, it's best not to rely on Tropo's automated conversion, and create 8-Bit, 8 kHz u-law sound files, as these can play as-is over the phone network without conversion.
